 Dry Creek Trail

| The Dry Creek Trail follows the headwaters of Dry Creek in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness. The creek flows south down the canyon and meanders through Dry Creek Basin, eventually joining Oak Creek west of Red Rock State Park. This trail begins at the head of the basin and follows the creek upstream deep into the canyon, crossing the creek several times. The canyon is shaded with Arizona cypress, alligator juniper, Douglas fir, and ponderosa pine, with lush vegetation and small grottos. When Dry Creek is running high, the trail is not recommended. An alternative hike is to head up Bear Sign Canyon, which branches off to the northwest. | |||||||||||||||
