The Boyton Vista Trail is a short hike up to Boynton Spires. The towering red Sandstone formations stand guard at the mouth of Boynton Canyon. The most prominent electromagnetic vortex site, drawing energies from deep within the earth. From the overlook are open vistas of the isolated buttes and mesas between Secret, Long, and Boynton Canyons. The sweeping views include Deadman’s Pass and Mescal Mountain to the east; Capitol Butte, Chimney Rock, and Courthouse Butte to the south; and Boynton Canyon and the Enchantment Rock

I had a spectacular time. The views were awesome! It is a great beginner trail. There is a vortex at the top of the trail but I did not feel anything. I am Sam and I am an 8 year old girl.
Trail is short, but climb is fairly steep and rocky. Last 100 yards or so is very very steep (at least from my middle-aged perspective). This is a vortex site and I definitely felt a special quality about the site. We were met by a local on the way up who told us about the vortexes and then he climbed ahead and serenaded us with flute music as we were climbing. Definitely a hike to remember. Views are awesome!
Fun trail that (for those who prefer a longer hike) can be added to the Boynton Valley or Deadmans’s Pass Trail. Also links to the Aerie and Mescal.
For those who have kids or just want a shorter hike, this one is perfect. It ends with a climb up to the vortex (Kachina Woman Spire) and possibly more. The man who plays the flute here comes very often (we caught him around 11:00 AM on a perfect December day). He plays, tells stories, and even gives gifts to those who make it up the final climb. But you can hear his music at least half way down the trail.
Great short scenic hike! It gets your blood pumping quickly but then you are up at the top and enjoying the view.
