CHAPEL TRAIL

The Chapel Trail is a side path off of the Little Horse Trail. Little Horse Trail is the official starting point but this trail may also be accessed from the Chapel of the Holy Cross parking area. The trail follows the base of Twin Buttes to the Chapel of the Holy Cross., considered one of Sedona’s power sites. The Chapel, built amidst the red rocks of Twin Buttes, was inspired by a Frank Lloyd Wright design. Completed in 1956, the Sedona landmark rises dramatically from the butte, yet integrates the landscape. At the Chapel, there is a public observation deck, highlighting the gorgeous red rock buttes, eroded spires, and surrounding terrain.
